Save all the needed vocabulary in your mind forever

With the same success, you can read the entire newspaper, when you need only sports news. Do not make this mistake. Train the most useful vocabulary in the language and follow your needs and interests. Think why you are learning the language, if for communication and travel, then select the words by topics that you will need for a productive conversation. Visualize the situation that you are lost, that you need to buy something or to reach a particular place in the city. How would you ask a local resident?
- Search for associations
The selection of useful words is the key to successful learning. But if you study these words in isolation from the context, then it will be difficult for you to put them together to use the language actively. The association will help create this context. The search for associations is a process in which new information is associated with already existing knowledge. One piece of information can have thousands of associations with memories, emotions, experiences and individual facts. This process naturally occurs in the brain, but we can take it under conscious control.
- Repeat new words regularly

If new information is repeated accordingly to particular intervals, it will be more difficult to forget it. After a few interval repetitions, it will be fixed in long-term memory and, most probably, will remain in your head forever. You need to repeat regularly old information and work with the new one.
- Use pictures
Draw small pictures to keep in mind the meaning of the word. Can you not draw? Do not worry, it’s even better. Our brain receives so much monotonous information that a strange picture is a kind of surprise, and surprises we always remember. Our brain perceives more natural visual information than all the other. Draw a funny view illustrating the meaning of the word, and you will learn it much faster.
